Steady House
About

Steady House is my way of building digital products around real life, not hype.

I’m Hannah, a founder, builder, and single mum. I created Steady House to make websites, apps, and practical tools that feel calm, useful, and genuinely worth using.

Where it comes from

My work is shaped by real life: parenting, managing too much at once, and seeing how many systems are harder than they need to be. That is why I care about simple products that solve a clear problem.

Community matters

Volunteer work and community-led projects have kept me close to the people who actually use these kinds of tools. I do not want polished digital noise. I want products that support everyday life.

What sets me apart

Steady House is not a generic web design service. I think like a product builder, not just a visual stylist. That means structure, copy, UX, build quality, and practical usefulness are handled together.

How the products are governed

The apps and products are operated through Steady House Ltd so there is clear legal and operational responsibility behind them.

They are still founder-led by Hannah, shaped by real member feedback, and intended to feel supportive rather than corporate.

How ideas feed back in

When products like Adulting and Kindred have dedicated feedback or suggestions areas, that is deliberate. The goal is to keep listening, keep adjusting, and keep building around what people actually ask for.

What I build

  • Simple service websites that feel credible and easy to use
  • Founder-led MVPs and browser-based tools
  • Dashboards, calculators, forms, and custom internal systems
  • Consumer-facing apps with a strong practical purpose

How I work

  • I keep scope clear and avoid overcomplicated builds
  • I design around actual user behaviour, not trends
  • I care about mobile use, speed, and maintainability
  • I build things people can keep using after launch
